Adobe Acrobat – Knows how to create bookmarks, Catalog, and touch up PDF
HTML – Knows how to write documents in HTML
XML – Understands what is well formed XML. XML Programming is desirable for this position.
Knowledge and understanding of content management/ authoring systems such a AuthorIT, Arbotext, or Documentum.
Experience in Desktop publishing with tools such as FrameMaker, Adobe, Acrobat, Quark, MS Word.
Experience in most but not necessarily all of the following:
Experience with Graphics tools such as Photo Shop, Paint Shot Pro.
Experience with Windows Help creation, compilation, de-compilation
Experience with CHM creation, compilation, de-compilation
Experience with scripting languages such as Java, Visual Basic, Perl, DOS batch.
Experience with Database – Query with SQL
Experience with translation and translation tools such as Trados, SDLX, SDL Workflow, Idiom
Foreign language skill especially with double byte languages such as Japanese, Chinese, Korean preferred
